In fourth grade gifted math, your child will be taught fourth grade math standards. If your child did not take third grade math, I will address any gaps that your child has in his or her knowledge. Your child will be fully supported and taught in a developmentally-appropriate way. Your child will be exposed to a variety of strategies, but will always be encouraged to use the strategy that works best for him or her. In other words, it is not expected that your child achieve mastery of every addition strategy, just the one that gives him or her the most success.

1. Extend understanding of multi-digit multiplication and division.

2. Develop the relationship between fractions and decimals, and begin operations with both.

3. Classify and measure angles.

4. Develop an understanding for interpreting data to include mode, median, and range.
