Peasants ate a hearty stew called pottage. It had broth with vegetables, and may have been sopped up with bread. It was made with vegetable scraps from the day. Although peasants spent their days picking and tending to crops, they did not get to keep the crops. They received leftovers and scraps from the noble classes.

A noble feast included a lot of meats and breads.

People ate a lot of fruit and nuts.

This is a sample menu from a medieval feast. This feast would be enjoyed by nobles, not peasants.
