Subject pronouns are pronouns used as the subject of a sentence.
Object pronouns are pronouns that are used after an action verb or as the object of a preposition.

Subject pronouns:
I
you
he
she
it
we
they

Object pronouns:
me
you
him
her
it
us
them

Subject pronoun examples:
Cats are great pets, but they need a lot of care.
We went to the mall and bought candy.
He made spaghetti and meatballs for dinner.

Object pronoun examples:
My dad bought a cookie for me.
The teacher gave us homework on Tuesday.
We told them how to find the treasure.


Sometimes, it can be hard to know which pronoun to use. Look at these tricky examples.

Her and I saw two waterfalls in North Carolina.
She and I saw two waterfalls in North Carolina.

Which sentence is correct? To find out, cover up the part "and I."

Her saw two waterfalls in North Carolina.
She saw two waterfalls in North Carolina.
